Random Food Photo Day

Though many of my dishes are made at church and at home, only a small fraction of the food I prepare make it to the blog. Part of this is because the lighting is not ideal for photos in the church's basement kitchen. And too often, it gets a bit too hectic to take pictures right before a wave of hungry people descend upon the kitchen.

That being said, here are some photos for you to feast with your eyes. Later this year, I hope to post the accompanying recipes along with more pictures for you.

Hand Cut Fries

Korean Beef Barbeque (Bul go gi)

Radish Kimchi

Garlic-Cheese Biscuits with Parsley Butter

Pickled Garlic Cloves and Jalapeno Peppers

Fried Taco Shell for Salad

Korean Seafood Pancakes

Grilled Veggies for Pasta Salad

Veggies for Lemon Cole Slaw

Elvis Cream Pie (Yep, bananas & peanut butter!)

Korean Pork Lettuce Wrap

Cilantro Pesto Pasta Salad

  2. oh, I am definitely looking forward to these recipes! 오징어 파전 was one of the first Korean dishes I ever had, and I was enthralled by it. I remember wanting to know how to say it in Korean so I could order it the next time I went out to eat, and so I asked one of my Korean friends. I can still picture her patiently repeating the name over and over to me. It's a fun memory that comes to mind whenever i see pajeon.

And I know what you mean about the lighting--the bane of a foodblogger's existence! :)

  16. @Lindsay, I thinly cut away the potatoes so I will have four clean sides. This way I won't have odd sizes. Will post this cooking tip soon! :)

  22. I was just looking through your archives. So is this Korean BBQ different from the Bulgogi recipe you already have? The meat looks like thinly sliced beef so can't be kalbi...hm, now you have me really curious. I have to stop looking at these photos b/c you're really making me miss "Seoul" food!

  23. Hi, Sosopie,
I have one variation of the Bulgogi with very poor photos. I will be doing a few different variations on the ingredients and kalbi as well. :)

  29. Wow, Kay!!! I love the look of all of this. That radish kimchi sounds amazing and the pickled garlic-that sounds like it would make everything more wonderful. Ooh, and I like Elvis (smile). I would totally trust his banana pudding expertise:)
Oh, and I don't post so many foods, but mostly b/c the ones I make are weird. They are not super fabulous like this stuff!
